XSite Pro vs Wordpress

Like Dreamweaver, Wordpress has no real competitors in its field.

It is a wonderful blogging platform, and, best of all, even though it is free, there are thousands of designers lining up to launch useful plugins and free templates.

You can actually add a Wordpress blog to a subdirectory of an XSite Pro site so you can have the best of both worlds - a static site and a blog.

Blogs do have some disadvantages. The posts are in time order so they are not so easy to navigate. You have to have some scripting knowledge to overcome some inbuilt flaws. For example, adding embedded video to a Wordpress blog can be a real pain.

It's really about horses for courses. Wordpress for blogging, XSite Pro for an easy-to-build static site.
